lucky bean 1

Well, as usual the week started with a bit of a winge, a greyish day, high tide creating unpleasant walking conditions.  The dogs, however, never seem to notice the tides, but then they also don’t notice such a wow moment as a “bean called lucky”

For those of you who don’t know about beans called lucky, you’re in for a treat – I always felt they may have been the beginning of banking – afterall the barter system must be older than man, Neanderthals surely picked up twigs to exchange for leaves, or whatever?  Let’s be honest a leaf is tastier than a twig, But a twig could have created FIRE – see what I mean!

Noun: the action or system of bartering “paper money ceases to have any value and people resort to barter”

It doesn’t take much imagination to know that “paper” money is losing/has lost value.

As it’s no longer made from paper anyway thanks to fraud and all the etc’s it really has issues going forwards.

Therefore, this leads me on to the discovery of 2022 and to see, after a long time, a quite small bean called L U C K Y who deserves to be celebrated!!!!

This little fellow, spotted after at least 2 years of no sitings, was immediate in his ability to show off and “wait & see” if I was concentrating in my “wingey, grey day wanderings along the high tide mark!

I am so pleased to acknowledge that I did indeed spot “Lucky” and actually jumped up & down (in soggy sand) saying wow, wow and wow again and about …….. time – where have you been you little orphan of beans, called “lucky”?  Meanwhile Sam, Pepper & Georgie are not really favourably impressed with the “wow” delays.

‘LUCKY’ BEANS, I am probably incorrect but romance needs some latitude, come from Central Africa and travel hundreds of kilometers eventually reaching the Indian Ocean and being swept along by many, many currents to end up on the shores and islands of Mozambique (where it all began for me, another story) and even as far as our own very special beach here at Kanon.  It is a story to rival that of migratory birds, of which I always stand in awe – but our Beans, called “Lucky” are very extraordinary because every single one is different, like us humans, some are smooth, some are wonky, some are higgledy piggledy, and some are just “some”.  I have found something rewarding in gathering so many over the last 25 years, but always treasured and given with love to those that understand we are all individuals and deserved to be treasured as such.

Signing off at 22H28 with more on “Lucky” to come….
